White Snapper also goes by the name of white goldband snapper or jobfish or threadfin snapper. It has white flesh with a tinge of pink and is flaky, lean and moist. Its great for making Kerala style fish curries and goes well for coconut based curries. In South India, this fish is generally known as Vela Meen\Velai Meen or Emperor fish. This is a very meaty fish with very less amount of bones.
