Description
Malabar biriyani has its origin in the northern part of Kerala popularly known as The Malabar. While almost all other type of Biriyanis are made using the Basmati Rice, the Malabar biriyanis are made using a premium quality, short grain, aromatic rice known as Jeerakashala Rice or Khaima Rice. The Malabar biriyani is also sometimes known as the Kozikkodan or Calicut biriyani.
