Description
Pakkavada, also known as ribbon pakoda or ola pakkavada, is a popular crispy snack from Kerala, India. It’s characterized by its unique ribbon-like shape, achieved by pressing the batter through a special tool or even a ziplock bag. The batter is prepared by mixing rice flour, gram flour (besan), red chili powder and asafoetida with water and salt. This batter is then pressed into thin ribbons and deep-fried until golden brown.
