Description

Ash Gourd is a vine grown large fruit, eaten as a vegetable when mature. Ash Gourd is also known by the following names.

Storage and handling instructions

This is a perishable vegetable and hence should be refrigerated immediately upon delivery. This product should be consumed within 3 days of delivery if its cut and shrink-wrapped or packaged. If uncut\whole, it can stay refrigerated for upto a week.

If the vegetable is extremely squishy or oozy, it should not be used.

This product is sent as whole gourd if the correct weighted one is available. If not, its sent as cut and weighed according to the order amount specified. For example if you order 6 lb and if a whole gourd of 6lb or more upto 1 more lb (7 lb) is available, we would send it as a whole gourd. If not, then a 6lb gourd is cut from a larger gourd and packaged and sent.

The product is sent via UPS 3-Day select  or second day air, so that it spends least amount of time during transit. Since weekends are not counted towards the selected time frame, we send the order out only between Monday through Wednesday. Any orders placed Wednesday and beyond would be sent out only the next Monday.
