Description
Whole black pepper or peppercorns are a spice, round and consistently sized and black in color. Its hard and rough to touch and they can be ground to form pepper powder. They are very spicy and hot due to the presence of piperine in them and are commonly used for flavoring in food. Black pepper is also a very good source of manganese. Piperine is considered to have anti-inflammatory effect and they have the maximum effect when combined with turmeric and ginger.
