Description
Puttu is a breakfast dish eaten in the South Indian states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and parts of Karnataka, as well as Sri Lanka. Puttu means “portioned” in Malayalam. It is made of steamed cylinders of ground flour layered with coconut shavings, sometimes with a sweet or savory filling on the inside. Usually the flour used for the preparation is made from white rice. But other options like multi grain, red rice or corn can also be found.
Brahmin’s Multi-Grain puttu powder consists of Wheat, Corn, Soya, Raggi, Barley and Chana Daal.
