Tamarind Jam is prepared by cooking the Tamarind paste with either sugar or jaggery with lemon juice until a jelly like form is obtained. The Tamarind Jam has a sweet and sour taste. This product also goes by the names Imli Jam or in Tamil as Puliyampazham Jam. Puliyampazham is the Tamil word for Tamarind.
