Description
Murukku is a crunchy snack originally from the Indian subcontinent. Its a very commonly found snack southern Indian states and Sri Lanka. The name of this snack derives from the Tamil word “Murukku” which means “Twisted” in English. As the name indicates, the snack has a twisted form. The Murukku is typically in the form of circular shape with layers on top of each other. The Murukku stick is the non-layered version with straight pieces of this circular snack which makes it easier to handle.
